What is Innovator Fellowship?
“The Innovator Fellowship Program at North High School engages high school junior and senior students in the deeper exploration of career paths beyond the traditional classroom. Students work to develop passion-driven concepts through a project-based, collaborative learning partnership within a multidisciplinary community of creative thinkers. Each fellow creates a vision for an innovative project and works with the Innovator Fellowship Coordinators and members of Jake’s, A Lakeland Community, to develop their personal identity and carry out their unique project.”
Author and Project Background

Hello! My name is Amelia Raml. I attend Sheboygan North High School, and I will graduate in June of 2027. I live in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and have lived here my entire life. I always knew that I wanted to do a passion project about cancer, as it is a cause that can always use support. My inspiration for this project came from my best friend being diagnosed with cancer in early 2025. Her diagnosis confirmed my inclination to create a project about cancer.
During my sophomore year of high school, I took an anthropology course. In this class, I learned how vital communication is for humans to live happy and fulfilling lives. When my friend was diagnosed with cancer, I began doing my own research. During my exploration, I found that many people affected by cancer (whether it be someone with cancer, family members, or friends) tend to feel alone.
After finding out about the Innovator Fellowship program at my school, I began putting all of these pieces together, and I eventually landed on the Support Circuit. The goal of this website is to promote people affected by cancer in the Sheboygan area to communicate and build relationships.
